SUMMARY:
The API and Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of data between various systems, including Microsoft BI, Qlik, Softrip, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Google Analytics. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining API integrations to ensure seamless data movement, accurate reporting, and real-time analytics.
In addition, the API and Data Integration Specialist will identify opportunities to document and improve existing system interfaces, with a focus on enhancing accessibility for customers and partners. The goal is to simplify and streamline the process of accessing and pulling data directly from CIE Tours' systems, fostering greater collaboration and data transparency.
This role will also play a key part in supporting CIE Tours' recently launched data strategy project, which includes a migration from Qlik BI to Microsoft BI, the integration of new data sources, and the enhancement of overall reporting capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate data exchange between systems.
- Ensure the accurate and timely movement of data across Microsoft BI, Qlik, Softrip, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Google Analytics.
- Identify opportunities to document and improve existing system interfaces, enhancing user-friendliness for customers and partners.
- Support the CIE Tours data strategy project, including the migration from Qlik BI to Microsoft BI, the addition of new data sources, and the enhancement of reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration needs and troubleshoot any issues in data flow or connectivity.
- Implement best practices for data integration, ensuring compliance with security and data governance standards.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data integrations for scalability and efficiency.
- Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information.
- Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
- Collaborate with management to understand company objectives.
- Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Create documentation and provide technical support for integration solutions, particularly to enable external partners and customers to access data.
- Keep informed about the latest technologies and tools to enhance integration processes and data management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience with API development, data integration, and movement between systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft BI, Qlik, Softrip, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Google Analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#, with a focus on API and data manipulation.
- Experience with customer-facing integrations, enabling partners to pull data from internal systems.
- Experience supporting data migration and enhancement projects, particularly in BI systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
